The series was based on the reality TV series America's Next Top Model, which was hosted by Tyra Banks. The winner of the competition was Tracy Reuss from the municipality of Gómez Palacio in Durango, Mexico. As her prizes she received a $100,000 contract with Shock Modeling Management and a photo-shoot for the cover and a six-page spread in Elle Magazine. This cycle featured 20 semi-finalists from all over the country, which were then pared down to 14. The destination during this cycle was San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
